What Is Illustration 156?

Illustration 156 is a personal project where I will publish 3 illustrations a week over the course of the next year. Starting today (2nd September 2011), a new Illustration should appear here every Monday, Wednesday and Friday 3 times a week.

Jo up there is Illustration #1, and he’s excited about it. I am too.

Why Illustration 156?

3 * 52 = 156, right?

I want to get better at Illustration in particular and drawing in general and I know that I need to get through my 10,000 or so not-great illustrations before I get to the gold. Having a target and a deadline will hopefully make that happen quicker, so here it is. Number 1.

Also, from here on out, I do declare that Sundays will now be known as Sketchbook Sunday where the weeks best sketches will be snapped and posted from my lovely Moleskine. A little hipster-ish, I know, but they are pretty awesome.
